The mission of the church of Jesus Christ is to be about the business of making disciples. Disciple University is a strategic approach that will assist in the process of discipleship here at North Madison Christian Church. Disciple University is designed to offer everyone, including all adults and children, the opportunity to grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God and His Word while also preparing them for service in His kingdom. Through Disciple University, you will have the opportunity to enroll in a Bible class offered in a college semester format. For more information, contact our Discipleship Ministries Coordinator, Sydney Wilson, at sydneyhornsby@northmadison.cc or 812-273-1601.

This 4-week session will allow participants to see the mission, strategy, purpose, and vision for NMCC; cover the history of NMCC; and answer several questions as to why NMCC does what it does. In each session, we will dive into the four areas that describe the connection journey towards partner growth. Connection Point will explain what it means to Partner with NMCC, what is expected of our partners, and is a requirement to become a Partner.
What does it mean to truly trust and follow Jesus? Through our class, we will unpack the key teachings of our faith and equip each person with the right tools to reach other people who do not know Jesus. This class is perfect for the new believer who is still trying to understand what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus, but is also designed to provide meaningful conversations for mature disciples who desire to reach the lost in their everyday lives. We hope each person will leave this class understanding the values and rhythms of Jesus-style disciple making and be encouraged to personally make other disciples too!
Leading others in a Bible Study can feel intimidating, but being able to guide others through God's Word is a powerful tool for discipleship. In this lab, we’ll talk about leading these groups, and you'll also have an opportunity to develop your skills in guiding others in real time. This lab will involve active participation, with everyone taking turns facilitating in smaller settings. You don't need to be a biblical scholar to help others deepen their relationship with Jesus. You just need God's Word, a willing heart, and humility to seek answers when questions arise.
The devil has been at war with God and mankind since Creation. “Did God really say?” was meant to cast doubt in Eve about God’s love and in His word. It is the same question he asks every generation, including today’s. He has won many converts (scoffers). In this class, we will look at the biblical accounts of creation in Genesis 1-3, the global flood in Genesis 6-9, and the world to come in 2 Peter 3. How do these accounts of history and the future stack up to the prevailing secular worldview of modern-day scoffers? We are going to ask ourselves the same questions that scoffers ask to refute the Bible and see what the Word of God has to say.
Join us on a journey of learning to disciple. “Come and see” how Jesus raises up disciples and equips them to follow his example. Come prepared with your Bible and notebook. Please read through the book of John prior to the first class.
Objectives: Become a stronger disciple of Christ, and be equipped to put into practice discipling others
